Every design starts with soil evaluation

Updated Regulation 43 makes soil morphology evaluation the foundation of all OWTS design. Generic prescriptive sizing based on bedroom count alone is no longer sufficient in most Colorado counties. 100 feet from wells, more near water

Colorado requires a minimum 100-foot setback from private wells — stricter than many states. Frost depth increases significantly. Conventional systems are still possible in favorable locations, but engineered designs are more common.
